Job Summary

The Junior Accounts Executive or Accounts Executive will support daily accounting activities and help ensure accurate financial records for company operations in Malaysia, Singapore, and the Philippines. Working under the guidance of the Finance Manager and Senior Accounts Executive, this role is focused on transactional execution, record-keeping, and basic financial coordination.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Accounts Payable & Receivable :

Process supplier invoices and staff claims in accordance with internal procedures.

  • Prepare payment vouchers and assist with payment processing across all operating countries.
  • Assist in preparing customer invoices and maintain invoicing records.

Transaction Recording & Reconciliations :

Record daily accounting entries in the company's accounting system.

  • Support monthly reconciliations for bank accounts, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
  • Month-End Closing Support :

    Compile supporting documents and basic schedules to assist with monthly account closings.

  • Help track accruals, prepayments, and other recurring entries under supervision.
  • Contract Billing & Documentation :

    Track contract billing milestones and compile documentation for revenue support based on service delivery in Malaysia, Singapore, and the Philippines.

  • Maintain up-to-date invoice logs and milestone trackers.
  • Audit & Filing Support :

    Organize and file financial documents for easy retrieval during internal and external audits.

  • Assist in preparing requested documentation during interim and year-end audits.
  • Reporting Assistance :

    Help generate simple reports, such as invoice summaries or payment status updates.

  • Maintain trackers for staff claims, payment processing, and billing status.
  • General Administrative & Finance Support :

    Participate in finance-related improvement projects or system enhancements when required.

  • Provide administrative support to the Finance team and assist in ad hoc assignments.
  • Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 1–2 years of relevant working experience or internship in an accounting role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and familiarity with AutoCount cloud accounting software is a plus.
  • Good attention to detail, organization, and willingness to learn.
  • Able to work well in a team and communicate effectively.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills.
  • Preferable to be able to converse in Mandarin.
  • Qualification

    Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
