Materials Manager (Purchasing / Planning)

Responsibilities

• Mentor and manage the Focus Factory Purchasing team to ensure optimum effectiveness while acting as a role model and projecting a positive attitude.
• Monitor workload distribution among the team members and allocate tasks appropriately.
• Ensure the Focus Factory Purchasing team is following all processes and work instructions on a regular basis and participate in this process as required.
• Ensure Buyers attend WO Detail meetings, and are prepared to provide status updates to the team.
• Act as a liaison to customers for purchasing issues to ensure effective resolution.
• Ensure team members are trained and have a good understanding of the requirements of customer contracts (LOI / LOU, PSA, MSA, etc.) and are in compliance with applicable requirements.
• Initiate new programs or concepts to enhance purchasing activities.
• Benchmark the Purchasing activities and system flow with other companies to improve efficiencies. Monitor and minimize customer material liabilities.
• Update and maintain all demand planning metrics and additional metrics as assigned by management.
