Job Summary
The incumbent is responsible for keeping the accounting records up to date and ensuring its accuracy, to prepare and schedule payments to vendors and service providers, to reconcile accounts payable and receivables, and where there are discrepancies or matters of urgency, to communicate to the finance team and to resolve them. He / She is also responsible to ensure timely submission of monthly Sales and Service Tax, provide support to the Accounts Manager in preparing management accounts, accounting reports or any other ad-hoc reports, on matters related to tax audit and year-end final audit and to maintain any procedural documentation of the accounts department.
Responsibility & Duties :
- Regularly update financial related records and databases and maintain proper filings of accounting records and reports. Generate accounting reports and statements for internal use.
- Verify vendor invoices or bills and make payments to suppliers, other creditors and administrative expenses. Payments must be made in accordance with the approved deadline to manage the company debtors' position.
- Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all bills and payments are accounted for and properly posted.
- Prepare the SST payment submission.
- Perform day to day financial transactions, including classifying and recording accounts payable and accounts receivable data, and ensure they are accurate and up to date.
- Promptly update daily sales and resolve any discrepancies, and to secure client payments.
- Process, verify and post receipts for goods sold or services rendered.
- Prepare bills, invoices, and bank-in slips.
- Record and file cash transaction. Also to maintain control over petty cash.
- Process expense requests for the superior's approval and to maintain control over expenses.
- Perform daily bank reconciliation, including direct debits and finance accounts.
- Have regular and frequent communication with the finance team and other teams to ensure related financial records and documents of the company are consistent.
- Liaise with third party service providers and vendors.
- Update and maintain procedural documentation (softcopy and hardcopy)
- Other duties as and when necessary.
Job requirement :
Knowledgeable in accounting and basic audit principles.Possess 3 years and above of experience in the accounting field.Excellent time management skills, record-keeping skills, organizational and communication skills.Ability to work independently, possess initiative and is detail-oriented and an ability to collaborate in a team environment.Knowledge in AutoCount Accounting software is an advantage.Education :
Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Accounting and Finance field or related field.
