Senior Risks Manager, Risks & Controls, Permanent, M / F — Malaysia (Putrajaya).

Strategically located in IOI City, Putrajaya, the company employs over 1,200 professionals, providing services to institutional clients across Europe, including Custody & Cash Clearing, Fund Administration, Fund Distribution, Master Data Services, Market Solutions, Group Invoicing, Reconciliations and Private Equity & Real Estate Solutions. The Risks & Controls team works across 1LoD business units, technology and support functions to provide management with an informed opinion on the effectiveness of controls used to mitigate material risks. The team is responsible for :
- Challenge the business / functions on their understanding of the risks and adequacy of the controls, including proactive risk management.
- Review and provide assurance that Operational Risk management practices are effective, meeting enterprise requirements, and are followed consistently across the organisation.
- Advise on the design of risk management practices to identify and mitigate operational risks.
- Perform root-cause analyses on Operational Risk Events, identify gaps, validate action plans for risk mitigation and governance.
As the Senior Risks Manager, you will analyse, challenge and report an independent point of view resulting in an independent opinion on the Operational Risk profile of assigned risk activities and challenging the Business / Support Functions on their risk understanding and control status. This is executed regionally across practices related to risk activities.

Qualifications & Experience
Minimal education level : Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalentAcademic qualification / Speciality : Relevant university degree, preferably finance or business relatedLevel of minimal experience : 6-10 yearsExperience : Preferably 8-10 years in financial industry; or 6-8 years relevant risk experience; comprehensive knowledge of structure, processes, procedures and technologyRequired skills : Relevant degree; risk qualification preferred but not essential; strong communication; experience with Operational Risk Framework, RC SA, thematic reviews, control testing, risk reporting, and root cause analysis; ability to engage stakeholders; analytical skills; change management; strong collaborationLanguages
