Reliability & Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
The incumbent is responsible for assisting in managing the central workshop and leading the maintenance team to perform maintenance and reliability related job functions in a safe and cost-effective manner.
Responsibilities
- Assist in managing the central workshop and leading the maintenance team.
- Support and perform maintenance functions in a time‑ and cost‑effective manner, achieved by :
- Supporting turnaround management.
- Introducing and implementing new and effective maintenance skills.
- Originating and developing analysis methods for determining maintenance demands for components, equipment, and processes.
- Acquiring maintenance data, analyzing data, avoiding maintenance delays, and recommending improvements.
- Conducting analysis of maintenance‑related problems and investigating, to determine the outage required for the situation, considering cost limitations for equipment uptime / downtime, repair / replacement costs, weight, size, and availability of materials / equipment, and determining cost advantages of alternatives for developing action plans to meet timely repair demands.
- Supporting central workshop management by improving, upgrading, and maintaining the workshop facility and management.
- Guiding supervisors and mechanical technicians in performing their tasks and responsibilities, establishing good maintenance practices.
- Supporting reliability‑related job functions by performing failure root cause analysis to troubleshoot and avoid repeating events.
- Setting up lesson learning / sharing database for operations and maintenance personnel.
- Improving maintenance personnel skills at a high level of safety, competency, quality, and reliability by developing, establishing, and executing training plans for maintenance supervisors and mechanical maintenance technicians.
- Conducting training and proficiency tests for maintenance personnel.
- Establishing maintenance management system for supervisors to perform major and critical maintenance activities.
Required qualifications / experience
Bachelor’s / Master’s in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.At least 3 years of experience in operation and maintenance of chemical industrial gases or manufacturing set‑up.Seniority level
