Senior Finance Manager

Role Overview

The Senior Finance Manager will be responsible for leading all financial operations, statutory reporting, and compliance matters in alignment with MFRS standards. This role requires a finance leader with a strong foundation in audit, capable of ensuring financial accuracy, control, and transparency while providing strategic insights that support the company’s long-term growth and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the finance and accounting department in managing daily accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts receivable / payable, taxation, treasury, and financial reporting.
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with MFRS and other statutory requirements.
• Establish and maintain robust internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures to ensure financial integrity and compliance with regulatory frameworks.
• Apply audit-based analytical thinking to assess financial risks, identify process weaknesses, and strengthen internal audit readiness across all financial operations.
• Manage annual statutory audits, act as the primary liaison with external auditors, and ensure all audit findings are addressed effectively and promptly.
• Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and performance reports; analyze variances and provide actionable recommendations to management for business improvement.
• Support business decision-making by providing clear financial insights related to cost control, profitability, and operational efficiency across shipping and logistics functions.
• Oversee cash flow management, working capital optimization, and financing activities to ensure liquidity and financial stability.
• Coordinate taxation matters including corporate tax planning, indirect tax compliance, and liaison with tax authorities and consultants.
• Collaborate with senior management on financial strategy, investment evaluation, and risk management initiatives.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives by streamlining reporting processes, adopting digital tools, and enhancing financial governance practices.
• Mentor, coach, and develop the finance team to build analytical capability, business understanding, and audit discipline.
