At Tremco CPG Malaysia, we are looking for a driven and detail-oriented Product Development Chemist (Resin Flooring) to take the lead in the research and development of resin flooring products across the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. Join our dynamic team and play a critical role in formulating next-generation solutions that meet evolving market needs.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead product development for resin flooring applications tailored to the APAC market.
  • Plan and execute development programs — from feasibility testing and cost analysis to lab trials and launch.
  • Improve existing systems for better consistency, cost‑efficiency, and user-friendliness.
  • Ensure accurate formulation, process input, and code maintenance in Product Vision (PV).
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Purchasing, Technical, Production, Marketing, and Quality teams.
  • Support raw material evaluation and supplier optimization for a secured supply chain.
  • Assist with plant scale‑up, trial batches, and site applications of new / improved products.
  • Investigate product complaints and provide expert-level technical support.
  • Assist in the setup of a new Powder Lab and recommend relevant cementitious test equipment.
  • Ensure full R&D documentation in line with ISO 9001 : 2015 standards.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Material Science, Chemistry, Applied Science, or equivalent.
  • Fresh graduates with a strong foundation are encouraged to apply.
  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing lab (product development preferred).
  • Industry experience in construction chemicals, coatings, or flooring systems is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and basic ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented, self-driven, and a team player with a desire to make an impact.
  • Good report writing and documentation skills.
