Reporting to the Head of Quality Assurance HQ (functionally) and the Head of Procurement MEA / EAP (administratively), this position plays a key role in continuously improving the entire manufacturing process, from outsourcing manufacturers to quality, environmental compatibility, and productivity, in close cooperation with our suppliers. This requires a tailored approach to meet the diverse requirements at both regional and global levels.

You will be responsible for :

  • Establish a global SQA and SQD organization aligned with the Supplier Quality structure and procurement strategy
  • Collaborate with the Innovation Hub Asia procurement team to prioritize supplier development needs by product, improving cost competitiveness and addressing supply constraints
  • As a Quality Manager overseeing mass or serial production of formwork components from outsourced manufacturers, key responsibilities include ensuring products meet all required standards :
  • Developing Quality Standards : Create and implement quality standards and procedures specific to formwork components, ensuring consistency and compliance with industry regulations
  • Supplier Evaluation and Audits : Regularly assess and audit outsourced manufacturers to ensure adherence to quality standards and identify areas for improvement
  • Monitoring Production Processes : Continuously monitor production to ensure compliance with established quality standards and address any deviations
  • Quality Control Inspections : Conduct routine inspections of formwork components to identify defects and non-conformities, ensuring timely corrective actions
  • Data Analysis : Analyze quality data to identify trends, root causes of defects, and areas for improvement, driving continuous improvement initiatives
  • Training and Development : Provide training to outsourced manufacturer staff on quality control procedures and best practices to ensure compliance with quality standards
  • Documentation and Reporting : Maintain detailed documentation of quality control activities, including inspection reports, audit findings, and corrective actions
  • Customer Interaction : Ensure formwork components meet customer specifications and address any quality-related concerns or complaints
  • Compliance with Regulations : Ensure production processes and products comply with relevant industry regulations and standards
  • Continuous Improvement : Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the quality of formwork components and production processes
  • Ensure that formwork components from outsourced manufacturers meet quality standards, customer satisfaction, and regulatory compliance
  • Lead investigations into major issues and special projects, focusing on developing strong relationships with suppliers and the supply chain for product development and parts procurement
  • Assist with new product launches by working with suppliers to ensure key milestones are met
  • Collaborate with the Innovation Hub Engineering team to define process parameters and ensure supplier processes are capable of meeting product and process requirements

Qualifications

We are looking for a detailed and results-oriented individual with the ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects and a strong focus on achieving impactful outcomes. In addition, we seek the following qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing, Production, Engineering, or related fields
  • Certified Quality Auditor / Engineer (CQA / CQE)
  • ISO 9001 Lead Auditor and Six Sigma Certification, with experience in quality systems and supplier management
  • Minimum of five years' professional experience in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of welding standards, manufacturing processes, material grades, certifications, and testing standards
  • Proficient in statistical analysis for quality processes
  • Preferably knowledgeable in structural / sheet metal fabrication processes
  • Extensive experience in supplier development and audits
  • Experience in QA / QC for serial manufacturing in metal
  • Skilled in developing and implementing vendor qualification programs
  • Familiarity with quality and business systems
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen
  • In-depth knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), and Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA)
  • Vast experience in cross-functional management
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Adaptable to working in diverse and dynamic environments
  • Strong planning and prioritization skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Numerically astute with strong problem-solving abilities, and capable of developing and executing objectives for oneself and others
  • Proficient in English; knowledge of any local Asian language is a plus
  • Willingness to travel and be flexible
