Job description

Requirements

  • Diploma / Degree or equivalent in Operations Management, Engineering, Logistics, or related field
  • 2 to 4 years of experience in plant, manufacturing, or logistics operations
  • Willing to work on shifts, weekends, or public holidays as needed
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills; able to work well with ground teams and supervisors
  • Proficient in basic Microsoft Office particularly Excel, familiarity with digital systems and applications would be preferred
  • Ability to work as part of a team and take direction accurately
  • Committed, self-motivated, independent with positive disposition
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritise tasks and work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Meticulous, high level of accuracy
  • Good problem-solving ability and attention to detail

Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing plant / field operations including workflow planning, resource allocation, and production output monitoring of day-to-day operations
  • Support supervision of frontline colleagues to ensure adherence to SOPs, punctuality, and productivity
  • Conduct spot checks and support quality control initiatives to ensure service quality including accurate sorting, timely delivery, and customer satisfaction
  • Liaise with the Logistics Team to coordinate collections / deliveries, vehicle scheduling, and route optimization
  • Escalate and troubleshoot issues on the ground, including machine downtime, manpower gaps, or service delays
  • Promote and enforce workplace safety and hygiene standards
  • Assist in collecting and analysing operational data for prompt reporting to Management
  • Assist with training new hires and coaching existing Staff to improve skills, safety practices, and productivity
  • Ensure systems, practices, controls and procedures are fully in compliance with Company policy and statutory requirements
  • Perform any other ad-hoc assignment as assigned by the line Manager
