Food and Beverage Manager - Hyatt House Kuala Lumpur, Mont Kiara

We are seeking an experienced Food and Beverage Manager to report to the hotel General Manager. This unique position oversees both the culinary department and the food and beverage service department.

Hyatt House and Hyatt Place hotels are part of Hyatt's fastest-growing segments in Asia Pacific. This is an exciting opportunity for a performance-driven individual looking to develop their career with Hyatt Hotels.

You will lead operations to ensure the restaurant, event space, and pool bar operate successfully, in accordance with Hyatt standards, and are profitable.

Ideal candidates will possess an entrepreneurial spirit, a passion for great food and service, and confidence in communication and negotiation. You should be detail-oriented, capable of maintaining high service standards, and adept at problem-solving with employees and guests. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and a hands-on approach are essential.

Qualifications

Key qualifications and requirements :

  • Proven business mindset with a focus on revenue generation, demonstrated through past results.
  • Experience coaching and leading junior staff to achieve team success.
  • Track record of operating a restaurant with revenue and profitability growth.
  • Strong understanding of restaurant service, capable of leading a team to ensure service standards are maintained.
  • Knowledge of kitchen and restaurant hygiene practices and occupational health and safety standards; experience with Halal Kitchen and HACCP is an advantage.
  • Minimum of 4 years of managerial experience in a restaurant, leading a team of associates.
  • Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Recipe Maintenance systems.
  • Demonstrates passion for people, creativity, speed, and sound commercial decision-making.
  • Ability to leverage digital and social media to drive customer engagement and traffic.
  • Hands-on leadership style, ready to lead from the front.
  • Seeking an expert who can bring innovative ideas and implement them efficiently and profitably.
