Manufacturing & Operations Director – Aerospace Machining
We are seeking an experienced and results‑driven Manufacturing Manager / Director to lead and oversee the full spectrum of manufacturing operations in the machining industry. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, cross‑functional management experience, and a solid background in precision machining. Prior experience in the aviation / aerospace industry will be considered a strong advantage.
This role requires close coordination with production, engineering, quality, sales, planning, HR, and administration to ensure operational excellence and sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities
Manufacturing Leadership
Lead day‑to‑day manufacturing operations, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and compliance with safety and quality standards.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production capacity, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
Engineering & Quality Management
Collaborate with engineering teams to support new product introduction, process optimization, and technical troubleshooting.
Oversee quality management systems to meet customer, regulatory, and aviation / aerospace standards.
Cross‑Functional Coordination
Work closely with sales and business teams to align production capacity with customer demand.
Partner with planning, HR, and administration teams to ensure smooth organizational operations.
Strategic Planning & Execution
Develop and implement medium‑to‑long‑term manufacturing strategies to support business growth.
Ensure operational alignment with corporate objectives, budgets, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Talent & Organization Development
Build, train, and mentor cross‑functional teams to achieve high performance.
Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and innovation across the organization.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Management, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
10+ years of progressive experience in machining manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role .
Experience in the aviation / aerospace industry or other highly regulated industries is a strong plus.
Proven ability to manage cross‑functional teams (production, engineering, quality, HR, sales, planning).
Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and quality management systems (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9001).
Excellent communication and leadership skills; ability to work across cultures and regions.
Willingness to be stationed in China or Taiwan for 3–6 months during the first year of assignment, with potential for extended international engagement.
