Overview

Advantech is a global leader in IoT intelligent systems and embedded platforms, with a focus on connecting industrial chains through Edge Intelligence and WISE-PaaS. This description reflects the role of a Solutions Engineer responsible for supporting customers and driving business opportunities in IIoT, SIoT, and PaaS solutions in the ASEAN region.

Responsibilities

  • Provide and post sales services to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain good working relationships with customers by delivering solutions and advice based on clients’ needs and requirements.
  • Prepare proposals, solution demos, and follow up with customers.
  • Review project specifications, schematic drawings and product selections for proposals.
  • Explore and develop new business opportunities.
  • Support software technical support for IIoT, SIoT, and PaaS solutions.
  • Provide technical support for DFSI and customers based in Malaysia.
  • Project management : coordinate internal operations for delivery dates, partner negotiation, and sales co-visits to ensure technical commitments are met.
  • Provide software technical support including WISE-PaaS to the ASEAN region.

Qualifications

  • Possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree in Engineering (Electrical / Electronic) or Engineering (Mechatronics / Mechanical) or equivalent.
  • At least one to two years of experience in technical support and after-sales services.
  • Understanding of industrial protocols, system integration, and basic wiring knowledge.
  • Knowledge of SCADA systems and industrial protocols is an added advantage.
  • Passionate, meticulous, and tech-savvy; enthusiastic about learning new technology with a strong customer-service mindset.
  • Creative, with a clear understanding of system architecture to generate solutions for customer needs; analytical, self-motivated and a good team player.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Required language : English (speaking and writing); proficiency in Mandarin is an added value.
