At Tenby International School Setia EcoHill, every student is valued, and we aim for them to experience amazing learning and outstanding success. As part of our campus leadership team, the Head of Humanities will :
Lead the Humanities department strategically, ensuring alignment with school goals and ISP Learning Principles.Oversee departmental planning, resource allocation, timetabling and budget management.Drive the use of student data to inform teaching practices and curriculum improvements.Lead departmental meetings, professional learning and performance development processes.Oversee internal and external assessments, ensuring accuracy, consistency and integrity of results.Ensure high‑quality curriculum design, implementation and evaluation for Key Stage 3 and IGCSE humanities subjects.Support high‑quality communication with parents regarding student progress and curriculum matters.Lead and contribute to school events, initiatives and improvement planning.Ensure safeguarding, wellbeing and behaviour expectations are upheld at all times.Line Management
The Head of Humanities reports to the Deputy Head of Secondary (Academics).
Qualifications and Experience
Education : Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field. A recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGDT, PGCEi or similar) is required. A master’s degree in education or a related field would be an advantage.
Experience and Skills
