Requirements

  • Candidates must possess at least a Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) certificate.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with experience in food preparation and catering operations.
  • Candidates must have a basic understanding of food safety and sanitation.
  • Candidates must be willing to work in Ulu Tiram and adhere to the assigned work schedule.
  • Candidates must possess good communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Candidates must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Candidates must have a positive attitude, be eager to learn, and be team-oriented.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook food items according to standardized recipes and catering menus, ensuring consistency in quality and presentation for all events.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of catering events, including setup, service, and breakdown, while adhering to established timelines and service standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work station, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines to prevent contamination and ensure a safe food handling environment.
  • Monitor food inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed, minimizing waste and ensuring adequate stock for catering operations.
  • Operate and maintain kitchen equipment, such as ovens, stoves, and mixers, following safety procedures and reporting any malfunctions to the supervisor.
  • Collaborate with the catering team to develop new menu items and improve existing recipes, incorporating feedback and suggestions to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure all food items are stored properly and labeled accurately, following FIFO (First In, First Out) principles to maintain freshness and prevent spoilage.
