The Senior Sales Operation Manager oversees pricing, sales, and promotional planning while managing forecasting, budgeting, and performance tracking to drive business results. This role also leads the local Customer Service function, ensuring efficient and accurate order processing to maximize customer satisfaction. By fostering strong relationships with key customer teams, the manager gains critical demand insights. Additionally, the position is responsible for implementing and optimizing systems and processes that improve efficiency, accuracy, and transparency in sales operations. Leveraging data-driven analytics, the manager supports strategic decision-making to adapt to evolving market conditions and competitive challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Team Management – Plan, prioritize, and schedule the team’s activities so resources are used effectively; monitor the status of activities to identify problem areas and adapt procedures to improve overall performance; lead the Customer Service function for Peninsula Malaysia, ensuring alignment across the value chain and proactive order processing.
  • Operating Systems & Administration – Develop and monitor the application / maintenance of all operating systems (Oracle etc.), monitor pricing and trade terms in the system, liaise with functional managers to integrate sales administration activities, and lead and implement multi-functional projects for continuous improvement.
  • Pricing, Budget & Forecast – Deliver pricing recommendations and manage all customer price lists; translate forecast / budget to detailed monthly sales and marketing planning and secure correct forecast input to demand planning.
  • Management Reporting & Analysis – Secure management reporting and analysis for the regional and commercial teams and support the strategy process for the Malaysia business.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Management, Customer Relationship Management, Communications, Business Administration or any other related field.
  • At least 10 years of working experience in Operational Management or Financial Management roles.
  • At least 10 years of working exposure in Commercial Sales or Marketing environment preferably in the FMCG industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong financial and commercial awareness.
