Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Audio-Visual (AV) Technician to join our team in Sepang, Malaysia. As an AV Technician, you will be responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of audio-visual equipment for various events and installations.
- Set up, operate, and maintain audio-visual equipment including projectors, sound systems, video cameras, and display screens
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly and efficiently
- Install and manage cable systems for optimal performance and neat appearance
- Process and manage audio and video signals to ensure high-quality output
- Collaborate with event organizers and clients to meet their AV requirements
- Perform regular maintenance and updates on AV equipment
- Assist in the design and implementation of AV solutions for various spaces
- Provide technical support during events and presentations
- Keep up-to-date with the latest AV technologies and industry trends
- Maintain accurate inventory records of AV equipment and supplies
Qualifications
Associate's degree in Audio-Visual Technology or related field (preferred)2+ years of experience in AV technology or a related fieldProficiency in operating and maintaining various audio-visual equipmentStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsExperience with cable management and installation techniquesKnowledge of audio and video signal processingFamiliarity with various AV formats and standardsExperience with control systems such as Crestron or AMXBasic networking skillsInfoComm CTS (Certified Technology Specialist) certification (preferred)Understanding of event production and live streaming technologiesExcellent attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlinesStrong communication skills and ability to work in a team environmentWillingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as neededPhysical ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 pounds
