The Manufacturing Engineer evaluates manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; conferring with equipment vendors; soliciting observations from operators.
General Responsibilities
- Implements and maintains methods, operation sequence and processes in the manufacturing or fabrication of parts, components, sub-assemblies and final assemblies
- Collaborates with design engineering in coordinating the release of new products
- Estimates manufacturing cost, determines time standards and makes recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing product lines
- Organizes records and reporting systems for coordination of manufacturing operations
- Key participant in planning and designing manufacturing processes in an industrial plant
- Organizes the design, fabrication, modification, and evaluation in support of manufacturing operations such as machining, metal forming, plastics processing, welding and brazing, assembly, and material handling
Experience / Qualifications
A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands.Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation.Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results.Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity.Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards.Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and / or external customers.Manages new product project from manufacturing view.Ensures all process of product development project run properly within the scheduled timeline.Accountable to the management review / Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) process and ensures projects fall within scope of product plan guidelines.Eliminates barriers to progress within / outside team.Heads the decision‑making process to set pace, encourage input, deal with conflict ambiguity.Works with cross functions to ensure right processes are in place to meet customer needs fully and quickly. Removes barriers to integration across functional perspectives.Develops meaningful measures and reports progress against them.Supports the design of new fixtures and the optimization devices.Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or above, majoring in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or other equivalent ones.At least 3 Years of experience in mechanical design or electrization design area, experience in automotive or new product introduction is a plus.Good knowledge of Automotive Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) / Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) / Measurement System Analysis (MSA) requirements.Good interpersonal / communication skills and able to interface at international / overseas levels.Smarter Together
