Java Software Engineer / Java Lead – Morgan McKinley WP

Location : Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Employment Type : Permanent.

Work from Office : 5 days.

We have multiple Java vacancies for mid level, senior and expert level in Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya.

Position 1 : Java Developer (5+ years’ experience)

Title : Java Developer (5+ years’ experience)

Location : KL, Malaysia

Required Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of Java programming experience.
  • Knowledge and experience of relational databases (e.g., SQL).
  • Exposure to software development tools and version control systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Position 2 : Java Lead (7+ years’ experience)

Title : Java Lead (7+ years’ experience)

Location : KL, Malaysia

Must have experience in Insurance domain.

Required Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 7 years of Java programming experience.
  • Knowledge and experience of relational databases (e.g., SQL).
  • Exposure to software development tools and version control systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

    • Position 3

    Employment Type : Permanent / 5 days work from office

    Experience Levels :

  • Experienced : 3-6 years of experience working as a developer (Methodologies : Waterfall & Agile are accepted). First understanding of development processes associated (testing, code quality, design).
  • Senior : >

    • 6 years of experience working as a developer (Methodologies : Waterfall & Agile are accepted). Good understanding of development processes associated (testing, code quality, design). First experience as a technical leader in a project.

    Academic requirements :

  • Bachelor's or master degree in information technology and / or other demonstrated learning path (e.g., Bootcamp) can be accepted.
  • Certification (ITIL is a +).

    • Required technical Skills :

  • Proven experience as a Java Developer or similar role.
  • Understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
  • Experience with Java frameworks such as Spring or Hibernate.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases like Oracle, MySQL or PostgreSQL.
  • Familiarity with version control tools, preferably Git but can be RTC.
  • Knowledge of RESTful APIs and web services.
  • Knowledge of Junit.
