Job Description : R&D Chef & Food Technologist

Role Overview

We are seeking a passionate and innovative R&D Chef & Food Technologist to join our team. The role combines culinary creativity with food science expertise to develop, improve, and commercialize high-quality sauces & pastes, The candidate will be responsible for product development from ideation to launch, ensuring compliance with HALAL, HACCP, and FSSC22000 standards.

Key Responsibilities

Product Development & Innovation

  • Create and develop new recipes, sauces, pastes, marinades, and frozen food products aligned with market trends and customer needs.
  • Improve existing products in terms of taste, texture, nutrition, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Translate traditional and modern culinary concepts into scalable commercial recipes.

Food Technology & Process Development

  • Apply food science principles to ensure product stability, safety, and shelf-life.
  • Conduct formulation trials, sensory evaluations, and recipe standardization.
  • Collaborate with production teams to ensure smooth scale-up from kitchen to factory.
  • Ensure proper documentation of all formulations, processes, and trials.
  • Compliance & Quality Assurance

  • Ensure all R&D activities comply with HALAL, HACCP, MESTI, and FSSC22000 requirements.
  • Work closely with QA / QC team to ensure product safety, consistency, and traceability.
  • Conduct product testing, including microbiological and physicochemical assessments (with QA support).
  • Market & Customer Collaboration

  • Work with sales and marketing teams to develop customer-oriented solutions.
  • Assist in product presentations, sampling, and customization for B2B clients.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor products, and emerging food technologies.
  • Requirements

  • Culinary creativity combined with technical knowledge of food processing.
  • Experience with industrial kitchen / lab equipment and processes (vacuum marination, retort, freezing, etc.).
  • Good documentation, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Passionate about innovation and keeping up with food trends.
