Job Summary :
The Assistant Sales Manager is responsible for developing and managing sales accounts across various market segments, including corporate, government, travel agencies, and other potential business sources. This role requires strong field engagement, proactive selling, and relationship-building to drive room night production, event bookings, and overall brand visibility for the hotel.
Key Responsibilities :
- Identify, develop, and manage business opportunities from various market segments including but not limited to :
- Corporate Clients
- Government Agencies
- Travel Agents & Tour Operators
- MICE Planners
- Online and Offline Business Sources
- Conduct regular sales visits, sales calls, and client meetings to generate leads, foster relationships, and secure bookings.
- Plan and execute sales trips, roadshows, familiarization tours, and client engagement activities to expand the hotel's market reach.
- Prepare proposals, quotations, corporate rates, and tender documents, particularly for government procurement and bulk bookings.
- Collaborate with Marketing Communications and Revenue Management teams to design and execute sales campaigns, tactical promotions, and seasonal packages tailored to different market segments.
- Attend industry events, exhibitions, trade shows, and networking sessions to represent the hotel and promote its services.
- Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitor activities to formulate sales strategies and identify growth areas.
- Maintain accurate and updated client records, call reports, and booking pipelines in the CRM system.
- Work closely with Reservations, Front Office, and Operations teams to ensure smooth handling of bookings, group arrivals, and special requests.
- Achieve assigned sales targets and KPIs, while upholding a high level of professionalism and customer satisfaction.
