In this project, we are partnering with a major technology company to collect authentic localised Mandarin audio data from Malaysia’s banking sector. We’re inviting talented individuals to join us as Speakers (Customer Role) in the Mandarin Data Collection Project.
This role is fully remote, task-based, and gives you the flexibility to increase your income at your own pace. Your contributions will shape advanced technology for financial solutions.
About the Role
As a Speaker (Customer Role), your task is to record natural Mandarin conversations related to banking services.
You will mainly be asked to record your real phone call with a bank, asking about products or services such as account opening, card activation, or transaction assistance.
If you are not comfortable calling an actual bank, you can instead perform a roleplay call, where you and another Speaker simulate the same scenario as if it were a real banking conversation.
You’ll receive sample scripts, example topics, and instructions to help you perform your calls naturally and clearly. Through this project, you’ll contribute to developing AI systems that better understand Malaysian Mandarin — including local accents and everyday expressions.
No specific background is required, just confidence in speaking, curiosity about banking topics, and willingness to perform calls in Mandarin authentic Malaysian Chinese speaking style
