Overview

Head of Finance- Simpang Renggam.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement financial strategies for both the Malaysia Sales Office and APAC & MEA Manufacturing Plant.
• Provide consultation and analysis to the Malaysia Country Manager and Manufacturing Director in commercial, contractual, strategic matters.
• Lead and manage the local finance team, ensuring a positive, proactive and dedicated working environment.
• Prepare and monitor annual budgets, forecasts, and financial targets for both the Malaysia Sales Office and APAC & MEA Manufacturing Plant.
• Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports and requisite reports for the Region and Germany.
• Conduct financial analysis and in-depth margin review to identify variances and opportunities for cost savings and / or revenue growth.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and cost methods for all financial reporting activities as required by German GAAP and the local regulations.
• Manage cash flow, working capital and treasury functions to ensure adequate liquidity and optimize cash management strategies.
• Establish and maintain internal controls and mitigate financial risks, especially foreign exchange risk and commodity price risks.
• Coordinate and support external audits, tax filings and other compliance requirements for both the Malaysia Sales Office and Manufacturing Plant.
• Monitor and control manufacturing costs and implement cost-saving initiatives and optimize operational efficiency.
• Management of inventory and raw material purchases and ensure optimal stock levels are consistently maintained.
• Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to align financial goals with production and plant processes.
• Oversee the insurance program for both the Malaysia Sales Office and APAC & MEA Manufacturing Plant.
• Support the sales teams in terms of customer contracts and help to ensure good commercial processes and practices.
