At PwC, our people in audit and assurance focus on providing independent and objective assessments of financial statements, internal controls, and other assurable information enhancing the credibility and reliability of this information with a variety of stakeholders. They evaluate compliance with regulations including assessing governance and risk management processes and related controls.

Those in audit risk and quality at PwC will focus on providing support to internal teams to mitigate and control client engagement risks. You are an experienced auditor and / or technical specialist who leads on audit quality through thought leadership, setting guidance, and a continuous cycle of improving, learning and monitoring.

The Global Sustainability platform has been established with the aim of PwC being the most credible and pre‑eminent adviser in ESG and sustainability transformation globally. It connects experts to deliver on projects from strategy through execution and reporting, cross‑Line of Service (xLOS) and cross‑territory. This role will support the Malaysia‑based core sustainability team which includes our domain SMEs. The core team drives increased business performance through improved allocation of expertise across the Malaysia‑Vietnam (MYVN) firm, as well as leading project proposals and project deliveries, and thought leadership, profiling, and continued market development.

Key accountabilities

• Supporting proposals and projects focusing on cutting‑edge thematic areas as defined in our strategy – human rights and social accountability, nature & biodiversity, and green growth programmes to deliver transformative impact. Proposals and projects will range from strategy, sustainability risk management, governance, through to data management and reporting advisory.
• Contribute to improving collaboration and delivery of sustainability work primarily in Malaysia and Vietnam, as well as supporting colleagues across Asia Pacific when required.
• Convening and consulting with MYVN colleagues, and where relevant, Asia Pacific and global stakeholders from across the business.
• Delivering on programmes of work, either internally or for clients – this would involve working with colleagues in the Lines of Service as a joint project team.
• Supporting project planning and coordinating timelines and milestones with a broad ecosystem of stakeholders.
• Assimilating information quickly and dealing with ambiguity.
• Producing professional materials and logical frameworks to convey research and perspectives, and providing clear justification for the produced point of view.
• Working virtually and in a global environment with diverse cultures and backgrounds.
• Understanding budgeting and allocating resources appropriately to support proposal costing estimations.
• Collaborating with other teams or functions to deliver outcomes, e.g. marketing, academy, digital.
• Developing and participating in campaign or programme road shows with internal leaders and clients.
