Job descriptionBachelor's Degree in Law. Minimum 2 years of relevant experience. Compulsory English proficiency. Applicants must be willing to work in Sungai Petani, Kedah and occasionally need to travel Jitra / Alor Setar, Kedah. Experience in real estate legal matters. Familiar with property and corporate law. Ability to work independently and under tight deadlines. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word & Powerpoint. Excellent communications skills and interpersonal abilities, including negotiation skills. Decent presentation skills.
Job Responsibilities :
- Drafting and Reviewing Legal Documents : Prepare and review a variety of legal documents, including Sales and Purchase Agreements, Joint Venture Agreements, Power of Attorney, etc.
- Liaison with External Legal Counsel : Collaborate with external lawyers to draft legal documents, obtain legal opinion and organise documentation in case preparation.
- Court Attendance : Represent the company in court proceedings as required to support in dispute resolution, litigation & handling legal issues.
- Manage Legal Risks : Provide advisory support to internal departments and managements.
- Property & Corporate Law Awareness : Keep abreast of changes in property and corporate law to advise management accordingly.
- Legal Due Diligence : For land acquisition & JV arrangements.
