We are seeking a Business Insights Senior SME to drive performance and decision‑making through advanced analytics. This role will be crucial in translating sophisticated data into actionable insights for various business units within BP.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of sophisticated analysis and modelling techniques to identify key business drivers and opportunities.
- Apply advanced analytics methodologies to interpret complex datasets, providing clear and concise recommendations to partners.
- Apply strong commercial foresight to understand business needs and translate them into solutions, focusing on performance management.
- Develop and implement performance management frameworks, including the establishment of key performance indicators and regular reporting.
- Build compelling and informative data visualizations to communicate complex analytical findings effectively to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Conduct in‑depth financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and profitability assessments, to support strategic financial planning.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate planning processes and ensure alignment between business objectives and analytical outputs.
- Perform comprehensive investment appraisal, including cost‑benefit analysis and risk assessment, to support capital allocation decisions.
- Proactively identify areas for improvement in data collection, analysis, and reporting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership, demonstrating strong communication and influencing skills.
Job Qualifications
Proven experience in a senior analytical or business insights role, demonstrating expertise in analysis and modelling.Strong background in analytics, with a deep understanding of various analytical techniques and tools.Outstanding commercial foresight and experience in commercial performance management within a large organization.Excellent interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate sophisticated information clearly and concisely.Proficiency in data visualization and interpretation tools and techniques.Expertise in financial analysis, including experience with modelling and forecasting.Experience with integrated planning processes and methodologies.Solid understanding of investment appraisal principles and practices.Proven ability to establish and manage performance management frameworks.Bachelor’s or equivalent experience, or a Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Analytics, or a related field.Benefits
