Senior Civil / Structural Designer

Job Overview :

Senior Civil / Structural Designer completes a variety of Civil / Structural Design assignments as needed and can complete work with a limited degree of supervision. They are an informal resource for colleagues with less Civil / Structural Design experience. The Senior Civil / Structural Designer has developed proficiency in a range of analytical processes or procedures to carry out assigned tasks. They provide solutions to problems in situations that are atypical or infrequently occurring based on existing precedents or procedures. They directly impact the quality of the work of the team.

Essential Qualifications and Education :

• High School graduate with a diploma in Civil or Structural disciplines or equivalent experience
• 5 years minimum with a major contractor or consultant
• Knowledge of associated industry detailing standards
• Knowledge of 2D and / or 3D drafting systems (AutoCAD and / or MicroStation)
• Knowledge of E3D and / or S3D
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and / or Auto lisp Programming, 3D Modeling, and 2D Drafting Menu and / or Macro compilation skills
• Eager to learn
• Working knowledge of English, both oral and written
• HSE, TQM, and cost-conscious
• Show flexibility and ensure proper hand‑over with regards to :

The reassignment to other departments, construction sites, and fabrication yards
