Job Description : QA / Test Engineer Financial Systems

Role Overview :

We are seeking an experienced QA / Test Engineer with strong expertise in financial system testing. The ideal candidate will be able to independently analyze, design, and execute tests across functional, performance, and automation domains. This role requires strong technical skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to collaborate across teams to ensure the quality and stability of financial applications.

Key Responsibilities :

Perform end-to-end testing for financial systems, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and compliance.

Independently analyze defects, troubleshoot issues, and communicate findings clearly to project and development teams.

Write comprehensive and well-structured test cases based on requirements and functional specifications.

Conduct functional testing, regression testing, and system integration testing.

Plan and execute performance testing, including load, stress, and stability tests.

Utilize SQL to perform data validation, backend testing, and issue investigation.

Apply automation testing frameworks / tools to improve test efficiency (Selenium, JMeter, Postman, etc. or other relevant tools).

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure testing alignment with project goals.

Participate in release validation, production verification, and continuous quality improvement activities.

Support basic operational maintenance tasks; prior experience in operations / maintenance is preferred.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

Minimum 3 years of experience in financial system testing or similar domain.

Strong understanding of functional testing methodologies and hands-on ability to create and execute test cases.

Proficiency in SQL for backend testing and data analysis.

Strong expertise in performance testing tools and methodologies, with proven experience executing tests independently.

Familiarity with automation testing frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Robot Framework, etc.).

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.

Ability to learn new tools, technologies, and systems quickly.

Experience in system operations or maintenance is an added advantage.

Good communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate issues and solutions.
