About the Role
As the Business Controller, you will drive the business to develop and implement strategic direction and to provide key insights from the financial perspective to business performance, risks / opportunities, and risk mitigation to ensure the business achieves or exceeds financial plan for within the Group in the markets we operate in.
Key Responsibilities
To drive Valiram Group’s brands and business unit to achieve targeted sales and operating incomeTo improve product mix and to drive cost improvementTo monitor and control spending to ensure it is within the budgetTo monitor and improve business unit visibility of financial improvement areas for cost control with the Principal and key suppliersTo revise budget as business goes along to achieve forecast and trim respective cost lines accordingly.Monitor and report budget vs actual on monthly basisReview invoices from principal against budgeted purchase orders from Principal and highlight discrepancyMargin review to ensure profitability and area for cost improvementReview marketing events against marketing plan and track spend to monitor effectivenessKey Requirements
Candidate must possess a Degree in Accounting & Finance / Professional qualification in ACCA, CIMA or equivalentMinimum 6-8 years of experience in finance and business controlling environmentGood Interpersonal & communication skillStrong business acumenAble to manage complex and competing prioritiesAnalytical and business drivenPleasant and able to collaborate and work in teamFluent English, both in written and spoken. Knowledge of other language(s) is an added advantage.Seniority Level
