Responsibilities
- Partner with leadership to align HR strategies with business goals and workforce planning.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to management on HR initiatives and organizational development.
- Drive HR policy continuous improvement and implementation (including Employee Handbook updates).
- Deliver monthly HR reports and provide policy interpretation and guidance to department heads.
- Lead organizational culture initiatives to enhance engagement, morale, and productivity.
- Oversee talent acquisition, onboarding, and retention strategies.
- Drive performance management, providing coaching and guidance to managers and department heads.
- Develop and implement career development, succession planning, and talent pool programs.
- Assess training needs in collaboration with department heads and coordinate programs within budget.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, regulations, and corporate policies including trade union agreements.
- Manage and develop HRIS (Human Resources Information System) and maintain accurate employee records.
- Oversee compensation, benefits administration, and payroll coordination.
- Manage expatriate affairs, including work permits, housing, and transportation.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager or Group HR Director.
- Act as the primary liaison with the trade union, handling negotiations, disputes, and collective agreements.
- Promote a positive work environment through effective communication and engagement initiatives.
- Support diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) efforts within the organization.
Job Requirements
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or Law.MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is an advantage.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Proven experience in collective bargaining, labor relations, and trade union negotiations.Minimum 8 years of experience in a similar role within an industrial or manufacturing environment.High attention to detail and accuracy.Proficiency in English and Bahasa Melayu, both written and spoken.Company
