Senior LCL Export Coordinator (NVOCC)

Description

The main function of this role is to assist customers in day-to-day activities, liaise with carriers, transporter, warehouse operator, fumigation, and ad-hoc tasks. Monitor customer support, quotations and maintain volume and trade lanes, and ensure all procedures and time frames are followed as per agreed SOPs and workflows and must be adhered to at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Attending to local and overseas customer inquiries pertaining to rates
  • Respond promptly to customers’ inquiries on booking confirmation, shipment follow up sailing confirmation, and continuously monitor shipments until cargo arrival
  • Responsible for bookings preparation and telemarketing for local customer cargoes
  • Booking arrangements and follow up container status with carriers
  • Dealing with warehouse regarding container status (change of vessels / departure date etc.)
  • Preparation of railing instructions and liaising with warehouse / truckers
  • Follow up with shippers on any discrepancy in M3 or packages
  • Ensure all necessary shipping documents are in place within the given time frame
  • Coordinate internally with sales and documentation team

Qualifications

  • Candidate must possess at least Diploma / Advanced / Higher / Graduate degree

    • Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Candidate must possess at least SPM, Diploma, or Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Transportation, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
  • Required language(s) : English, Malay, and Mandarin. (Fluency in Mandarin is preferred, as the role involves communication with Mandarin-speaking clients.)
  • Minimum 1–2 years of working experience in a related field is required
  • Preferably with experience in the NVOCC / Freight Forwarder industry
  • Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
