About the Department

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage the operations of the team to ensure consistent delivery of high quality services to customers within set timelines and using available resources allocated
  • Manage the operational risk of the team and ensure that all Trade Financing transactions are in compliance with policies, rules, guidelines, Standard Operating Procedures and Service Level Agreements
  • Ensure that all staff in the team continue to be equipped and developed with the necessary knowledge, skills and tools to achieve the required level of competency to perform their roles and responsibilities effectively, efficiently and accurately
  • Ensure care and due diligence is exercised by team members on day-to-day operational matters in relation to AML / CFT procedures and regulatory requirements
  • Continuously acquire relevant knowledge and training while performing the daily roles and provide advisory support to internal and external customers, when required
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives and projects in the department and ensure that any system enhancements or process changes are completed successfully and within timeline
  • Assist the department’s management to oversee the daily operations and review the operating processes and workflows, where applicable, to ensure the standards set are relevant and up to date.
  • Ensure that all relevant information / communication from management is disseminated to staff promptly and accurately.
  • Review and approve (where authorized) relevant transactions guided by the operating procedures and standards set.
  • Ensure that the processing turnaround standards are achieved and that transactions are processed accurately and correctly.
  • Ensure awareness and full compliance of all laid down rules, policies, guidelines, procedures, practices and code of conduct imposed by the organization.
  • Establish and maintain close working relationship with Business, branches and other stakeholders in the organization to facilitate the smooth running and processing of the day-to-day operations.

Job Requirements

  • Possess a degree
  • At least 12-15 years of relevant working experience
  • Good communication, leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated, team player with the ability to develop and guide others to work independently under tight timelines
