Accountabilities & Day To Day Responsibilities

• Database Administration

Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle and MS SQL Server databases.

Implement and maintain backup, restore, and disaster recovery strategies (e.g., RMAN, Always On, Log Shipping, or third‑party tools).

Analyse execution plans, indexes, and queries to enhance performance.

Manage clustering, replication, and failover solutions (Oracle RAC, Data Guard, SQL Always On).

Apply patches and security updates to maintain compliance with IT policies.

Work with development teams to support database design and query optimization.

Maintain proper documentation for processes, configurations, and procedures.

Pre‑requirements

In order to succeed in this role, it is expected that you will have :

Technical / Professional Skills required

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.

Certifications like Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or Microsoft Certified : Azure Database Administrator Associate.
