Overview

The British International School Kuala Lumpur is seeking an EYFS Class Teacher to drive excellent teaching and learning in the Primary School. Every role is driven by our vision : to nurture resilient, creative global citizens who will change the world for the better.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver purposeful, play‑based learning experiences that spark curiosity, creativity and a love of learning.
  • Foster a warm, inclusive and safe environment where every child feels valued, supported and confident to take risks.
  • Use a range of observations and assessment strategies to track progress, provide feedback and inform next steps in learning.
  • Work closely with your year group team and assistant teachers to share best practice, plan collaboratively and ensure consistency across classes.
  • Build strong partnerships with parents, valuing their role in their child’s learning journey and maintaining open, supportive communication.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school, including events, celebrations and enrichment activities that enhance the children’s early experiences.
  • Support the ethos, values and vision of the school, modelling them in your teaching and daily interactions.

Qualifications and Experience

We are looking for a qualified and experienced EYFS Class Teacher with a passion for teaching and learning, strong classroom practice and the ability to inspire, engage and support all students to achieve their potential. The ideal candidate will have :

  • Valid teaching qualification for Early Years Foundation Stage.
  • Experience delivering play‑based learning in a primary setting.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Evidence of maintaining a safe and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Readiness to adapt to a fast‑paced international environment and meet visa‑related restrictions for Malaysia.
