IT Database Administrator

Roles & Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage databases on AWS using RDS and on-premises SQL Server, automating management tasks with AWS tools and scripting.
• Ensure database security, backup, disaster recovery, high availability, and replication strategies are implemented, maintained, and regularly tested, while performing regular audits to ensure compliance with data governance policies.
• Monitor database performance, implement tuning strategies, and optimize queries by reviewing service-related reports (e.g., database backup, maintenance, monitoring) daily to identify and resolve issues within the Company's SLAs.
• Track, troubleshoot, and resolve database-related incidents, requests, alerts, and escalations within the Company's SLAs, collaborating with the database engineering team to develop strategic solutions to recurring issues.
• Maintain documentation related to database architecture, configurations, and procedures.
