Job description

Requirements

Education : Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.

Experience :

  • Minimum 2 years in IT infrastructure design, implementation, or administration.
  • Proven experience in troubleshooting virtual and physical server environments.

Technical Skills :

  • Proficiency in Windows and Linux server administration.
  • Hands-on experience with VMware, Hyper-V, and SAN / NAS storage systems.
  • Familiarity with backup tools (e.g., Cohesity, Veeam) and IT monitoring platforms (e.g., SolarWinds).
  • Knowledge of network security, TCP / IP, and tools like Palo Alto, FortiGate, and F5 load balancers.
  • Strong skills in configuring wireless access points, firewalls, routers, and VPNs.
  • Certifications : IT certifications (e.g., AWS, Microsoft, Cisco) are highly desirable.

    • Responsibilities

  • Configure, administer, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise Windows and Linux servers.
  • Manage server hardware, OS, and network issues, working collaboratively with vendors.
  • Monitor server and network performance metrics to ensure adherence to SLAs.
  • Design and implement high-availability solutions for servers and networks.
  • Plan and execute Disaster Recovery (DR) exercises with a focus on server, network, and backup strategies.
  • Administer and maintain backup systems using tools like Cohesity or Huawei.
  • Address audit findings related to servers and network security.
  • Forecast server and network usage based on application growth and user needs.
  • Implement and enforce security best practices across all systems and operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and manage IT projects across multiple sites.
