Overview As part of our ongoing growth and curriculum expansion at the VCE level, we are seeking a dynamic and skilled

Media Teacher

to join our Senior School team. The successful candidate will be a passionate educator with a solid grounding in media theory, production, and contemporary media issues. You will guide students in the design and creation of media products across a range of formats including film, television, audio, photography, print, digital, and animation while fostering their critical and analytical thinking skills.

Curriculum :

VCE (preferred), CAIE, IB, IEB, or other reputable international curricula

Reporting To :

VCE Coordinator, Head of Senior School, and School Principal

Contract Type : Full-Time

Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality lessons to students in Years 10 - 12

Plan and implement engaging, creative, and well-structured learning experiences

Guide students in hands-on media production across multiple formats

Foster a stimulating learning environment that promotes student achievement and enthusiasm

Work collaboratively with colleagues to support curriculum development and school initiatives

Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback

Uphold and contribute to the school's safeguarding and child protection standards

Qualifications

A minimum of 6 years of teaching experience

A recognised teaching qualification (B.Ed, or Degree with PGCE)

Fluency in English with excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Experience teaching media at VCE, CAIE, IB, IEB, or another recognised curriculum

Strong classroom management and administrative skills

Passion for student development and success

Commitment to cultural sensitivity and adaptability in an international setting

Experience with student management systems such as iSAMS or SIMS

Prior teaching experience in Southeast Asia

Additional Information

Teaching Load : Approx. 16 lessons per week (30-period timetable)

Class Sizes : Approximately 20 students

Safeguarding : A clean enhanced DBS and / or local police clearance is mandatory
