We leverage Microsoft Azure to build secure, scalable, and innovative banking solutions. Our Center of Excellence is the core of our technical strategy. We are looking for a motivated Junior Azure Cloud Architect to help us shape the future of our cloud platform. This is an ideal entry‑level position for a recent graduate or a professional with 1–2 years of experience. The role involves working directly with our Cloud Architect, turning architectural vision into reality, and ensuring compliance with banking security standards.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in designing foundational platform landing zones and workload deployments, creating diagrams, specifications, and contributing to configuration.

Build and deploy proof‑of‑concepts to validate new Azure services, third‑party tools, and architectural patterns, including AKS, Azure Functions, and Azure SQL.

Develop, test, and maintain reusable IaC scripts using Terraform or Bicep for consistent, compliant, automated deployment.

Help implement and monitor governance policies aligned with the Azure Well‑Architected Framework, focusing on security, cost, and operational excellence.

Collaborate with Cybersecurity, Development, and vendor teams to provide cloud guidance and evaluate new solutions.

Implement security controls using Azure Policy and Microsoft Defender for Cloud; ensure designs meet Bank Negara Malaysia regulations.

Assist monitoring cloud consumption and recommend cost and performance optimization across Azure environment.

Qualifications

Open to fresh graduates with strong academic record or internships, or professionals with 1–2 years of IT experience (system administration, development, IT support).

Understanding of core Microsoft Azure services and cloud concepts (compute, storage, networking, identity).

Interest in infrastructure building and automation with a strong desire for Infrastructure‑as‑Code.

Practical experience with scripting (Azure PowerShell, Bash, Python).

Strong communication skills to articulate technical concepts to teams and vendors.

Preferred (Nice‑to‑Have)

Experience with Terraform or Bicep.

Basic programming familiarity.

Knowledge of Docker and Azure Kubernetes Service.

Confidence in CI / CD tools, especially Azure DevOps.

Experience in a regulated industry such as banking or FinTech.
