Job Summary
You will own the form, fit and function of HP Print‑heads and will provide engineering resolutions to product / manufacturing issues. You will implement a strong Product Quality System across the value chain, driving Product Qualification / Change Management processes.
Responsibilities
- Provide resolution and implement engineering solution to product / manufacturing issue
- Work with cross‑functional partners in setting up and ramping a new manufacturing line
- Engage R&D and Product Development to enable New Product Introductions and Extensions
- Identify risks early in the program and determine test methods needed to characterize the product to ensure we meet end‑customer needs (especially for product or process NUDs)
- Throughout the program, characterize the product to understand risks and determine actions to mitigate them
- Drive Product Qualification processes
- Drive and implement a strong Product Quality and Reliability System
- Own the form, fit and function of HP Printhead and drive Change Management
- Engage and drive solutions across HP value chain teams such as Process Engineering, Supply Chain, Tech Support, and Production to improve manufacturing line productivity, yield and quality
- Conceptualize, develop and deliver solutions to simplify processes and deliver cost reduction out of Operations
Education & Experience
Four‑year or graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related discipline, or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competenceTypically 4–7 years of work experienceGood understanding of manufacturing processes, methodologies and environment, preferably experience in a fast‑paced, high‑volume electronics product manufacturing environmentStrong leadership and organizational skillsAbility to work well under stress, both internally and across functionsFast learner, proactive and self‑driven characterTechnically inclined and hands‑on personalityFluent in English (spoken and written)Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and project‑management skillsGood understanding of Quality Assurance & Process Control knowledgeExcellent team player, interpersonal and communication skillsKnowledge & Skills
