Job description

Responsibilities

The role involves helping to plan and carry out engineering and inspection projects, following company procedures, and maintaining high standards of safety and quality.

Key responsibilities include :

Maintaining excellent external and internal client satisfaction through proactive engagement and technical leadership.

Working effectively as a team member and taking ownership of tasks

Overseeing quality assurance across engineering project or task maintain and comply with engineering procedures / process under supervision / guidance by the Engineering Manager.

Prioritizing and organizing workloads across multiple projects.

Ability to take direction and work as part of a team under the supervision of the Engineering Manager.

Solving problems via innovative approaches as a team or individual during the assigned task.

Ensuring that the projects are delivered within the agreed timeline and budget.

Align projects with strategic objectives and taking proactive steps to address challenges.

Report directly to the team leader / project manager and acts as primary contact for clients in assigned projects.

Participate and be involved in technical and managing projects with support from, and under the direction / guidance of Engineering Manager, to an agreed value.

Able to work and take initiative to learn and work independently with minimal supervision

Able to travel to site when requires.

Comply with TWI’s policy, procedures and core value visions. Maintaining the reputation of the company.

Working both independently and as part of a team to solve technical problems.

Travelling to project sites within Malaysia / abroad within ASEAN countries when needed.

Able to travel to site when requires.

Qualifications

  • BEng (Hons) in Mechanical / Chemical / Material or other relevant engineering disciplines.
  • Familiar with Risk Based Inspection Technology (API 580 / 581).
  • Knowledge of visual inspection, ultrasonic thickness measurement, and basic NDT methods.
  • Understanding of relevant standards and codes such as API 580 / 581, API 579, ASME, and DOSH regulations.
  • Ability to interpret inspection data, prepare reports, and support engineering assessments.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities; able to coordinate with clients and senior engineers.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Asset Integrity Management, Risk-Based Inspection (RBI), or related inspection engineering work.
  • Basic certification or training in NDT (UT, VT, PT) or RBI.
  • Willingness to travel to plant sites and work in both office and field environments.
  • Good knowledge of written and spoken English.
