Audit Associate (Opportunity to gain experience with one of the Big 4 Accounting Firm!)

We are looking for an Audit Associate to join our Internal Audit team. This role offers hands‑on experience with a top-tier accounting firm, exposure to diverse business units, and the chance to develop a broad skill set in auditing, risk assessment, and process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Understand the Internal Audit methodology prescribed in the Group Internal Audit manual and apply it under supervision.
• Execute audit field work by following and completing test steps prepared in the Risk Control Matrix (RCM) and documenting the work within the planned scope and time frame.
• Perform general control reviews and assess the business units’ processes under supervision.
• Contribute to or plan specific audits by identifying objectives, risks and controls; identifying process design gaps, improvement opportunities and occurrences of over‑control during walkthroughs of business unit processes.
• Perform audit tests to identify operating effectiveness issues.
• Identify and understand the root cause of problems or issues and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Assist the team lead or be responsible for drafting audit observations and audit reports to specified standards, ensuring clear evidence supports recommendations and audit opinion.
• Provide an opinion on the overall effectiveness of risk management and control of the audited area(s).
• Perform follow‑up on the implementation of agreed action plans.
• Collaborate with the team through idea generation and support other team members, team lead and reviewer with a positive attitude.
• Communicate resource needs to team lead or reviewer on a timely basis; utilise resources to best effect with guidance from senior audit staff.
• Establish good working relationships with staff members at all levels of the organisation.
• Use data analytics software and audit management system effectively.
• Takes accountability for considering business and regulatory compliance risks and takes appropriate steps to mitigate the risks.
• Maintains awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats and technologies to better safeguard the company.
• Highlights potential concerns or risks and proactively shares best risk‑management practices.
• Other responsibilities entailed.
