Senior Finance Associate (L3)

Job descriptionFinancial reporting : Review financial data from various reporting tools and consolidation of monthly and annual management reports. Review and prepare presentations and other materials for internal and external stakeholders. Financial accounting : Take charge of month-end closing and cash flow management. Be involved in tax preparation, auditing, banking, investments, and other financial needs as necessary. Financial planning & analysis : Conduct financial analysis and modeling to provide insights into the financial performance of the company, including revenue, profitability, and cash flow. Budgeting & forecasting : Manage the company's annual departmental budget and forecast, and track actual performance against plan. Risk management : Identify and assess financial risks facing the company, and develop and implement strategies to mitigate those risks. Financial operations : Manage day-to-day financial operations, such as ensuring finance schedules are well-organized, reconciling bank statements, cryptocurrency wallets, expense reporting tools, and management accounts. Review financial databases, spreadsheets, and other financial records to ensure everything is updated and in order. Customer management : Manage incoming sales invoices and follow up on account receivables aging status (accounts receivable). Vendor management : Manage amounts due to supplier / vendor, and prepare supplier / vendor payment schedule to ensure accurate timely payments (accounts payable). Documentation : Create finance guidelines, standards, and templates from scratch, and not just building upon existing documentation. Plugged-in : Stay up-to-date with the latest financial regulations, accounting standards, industry trends, and best practices and provide recommendations on potential improvements or changes to current processes. Contribute to continuous improvement of the team's technical skills. Team player : Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with internal policies and external regulations. Liaise with auditors and internal / external parties involved in our financial process flow. Coaching : Able to mentor interns as well as junior-mid associates. Can provide material feedback on the work of junior and mid-level associates. You are required to support any ad hoc tasks as required by the company. Proven track record : You have 5-8 years experience in a Finance / Accounting role. Education : You have a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting or other related areas. Having a professional qualification such as ACCA or CPA is a plus. Accounting knowledge : You have deep expertise in journal entries, monthly closing, reconciliations, and general accounting principles. Finance skills : You developed an expertise in at least one area of the Finance function - Financial Accounting, Financial Reporting, Financial Planning & Analysis, Financial Modeling, Budgeting & Forecasting, Treasury Management, Corporate Finance, Taxation, Risk Management, and Financial Operations. Proficiency in finance data analysis tools and software : You are an expert in Excel and with high proficiency with v-lookup and pivot table functions. You can prepare effective presentation slides. Proficiency in accounting software : You are proficient with accounting software and ERP systems. Entrepreneurial : You are self-motivated, resourceful, and have an entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to succeed in a fast-paced and highly agile environment. Analytical & data-driven : You should be curious about data and able to tell stories using data. Operational excellence : You can frequently spot and prevent errors and have an exceptionally high bar for accuracy and quality. You also hold your peers to similar standards in their work. Project management : You take ownership of the projects by ensuring all deliverables and targets are met within the agreed timeline. - The salary for the L3 position is RM13,119.
- For more junior candidates, we may evaluate you at L2, with a salary range of RM9,481 - RM10,429.
