Job description
  • Handle day-to-day accounting tasks. -Manage daily card transactions and bank statements, including matching, reconciliation, settlement and resolve any discrepancies. -Reconcile daily balances for customer accounts and maintain accurate records. -Prepare and review quotations, invoices, contracts, and purchase orders, ensuring timely issuance and billing. -Generate purchase orders to suppliers / vendors for procurement. -Create and issue sales invoices to clients accurately and in a timely manner. -Monitor and follow up on outstanding invoices ensuring timely payments. -Coordinate with suppliers / vendors ensuring timely delivery and resolving any order issues. -Collaborate with relevant departments for inventory management and reconciliation. -Collaborate with internal teams ensuring accurate billing and settlement of card transactions. -Handle staff claims, reimbursements, and process requisition forms. -Maintain and organise financial records, documents, and reports. -Assist in preparing financial statements and reports. -Coordinate with teams from other countries ensuring accounting tasks and submissions are accurate and compliant. -Ensure adherence to company policies and compliance with relevant regulations. -Support the department and assist in administrative tasks as needed. -Assist with any ad-hoc tasks as and when required.   • Educational Background -Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field. -Professional Certification (e.g. ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) is an added advantage. Experience -1-2 years of relevant working experience in accounting, finance, or related roles. -Experience in handling payment card transactions, settlement, or reconciliation is an added advantage. -Exposure to multinational operations or coordination with teams across countries is beneficial. Technical Skills -Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong Microsoft Excel skills (e.g. VLOOKUP, PivotTables, etc.). -Familiarity with accounting software such as Deskera, SQL Account, Autocount, Xero, etc. -Knowledge of invoicing, general ledger (GL) accounting and financial documentation. -Understanding of financial reporting standards and compliance. Soft Skills -High attention to detail and accuracy. -Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. -Handle confidential information with integrity. -Good organisational and time management skills. -Fluency in English and effective communication skills, both written and verbal. -Work independently and in a team.
