Senior IT Security Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to lead and manage daily Security Operations (SecOps) activities. The role involves hands‑on management of endpoint security , firewalls , email security , and WAF , as well as leading cybersecurity enhancement projects across the organization.

The ideal candidate is a technically strong and proactive professional with a passion for operational excellence, automation, and continuous improvement in cybersecurity posture.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee and administer security tools and platforms such as Endpoint protection, Firewalls, Email security gateways, WAF and etc.

Collaborate with IT infrastructure and application teams to ensure proper implementation of security policies and controls .

Conduct vulnerability assessments and coordinate patching / mitigation efforts .

Manage and execute cybersecurity improvement projects , such as system upgrades, new security tool deployments, and policy enforcement initiatives.

Prepare and maintain security documentation , including SOPs, configuration baselines, and incident reports.

Liaise with vendors and external partners on product support and solution implementation.

Stay updated with the latest threat trends , compliance requirements , and security best practices .

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.

5+ years of hands‑on experience in IT Security or Security Operations.

Strong technical knowledge in IT security product and configuration fine tuning.

Experience with SIEM tools is an advantage.

Proven experience managing security projects .

Relevant certifications preferred (e.g., CEH, CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CCNP Security, Palo Alto PCNSA / PCNSE ).

Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.

Familiarity with ISO 27001 and NIST frameworks
