Role Overview

Drive strategic growth for SUSE by managing a portfolio of key accounts within SEA region. The Account Executive is responsible for identifying and capitalising on new business opportunities, deepening customer relationships, and aligning SUSE’s comprehensive value proposition with customer objectives. The role requires strategic thinking, cross-functional collaboration, and delivering high-value solutions that enhance customer success and drive market share.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and enhance relationships with key stakeholders, including CXO-level executives, and identify economic, technical, coach, and executive buyers.
  • Apply consultative-selling techniques to understand client goals, challenges, and ambitions; serve as a trusted advisor by aligning SUSE offerings with client needs and delivering long-term value.
  • Own professional development, maintain a growth mindset, and deepen expertise in SUSE’s value proposition.
  • Identify and capitalize on upselling and cross-selling opportunities through knowledge of customers, SUSE capabilities, and the competitive landscape.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to refine sales strategies.
  • Maintain CRM hygiene by updating activity, opportunities, and deals to manage the sales pipeline and forecast accurately.
  • Serve as the primary contact for customers across the sales process, from initial contact through negotiation and closing, including handover to Customer Success post-sale.
  • Collaborate with SUSE ecosystem partners to enhance and bundle solutions and extend business opportunities.
  • Work with Pre-Sales, Inside Sales, Partner Ecosystem, and Specialist Sales teams to deliver comprehensive solutions and drive traction.
  • Identify and prioritise key accounts each quarter with high potential for adopting SUSE products and set milestones to maximise market-share growth.

Skills & Experience

  • Experience in sales and account management with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Knowledge of enterprise software, including Linux Infrastructure, Hybrid Cloud, Container Management, Edge, AI, and Security.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and present complex solutions clearly.
  • Analytical skills to understand market trends and inform sales strategies.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a collaborative, cross-functional mindset.
  • Experience with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, Clari) to manage pipelines and forecast sales.
  • Ability to apply enterprise sales methodologies (e.g., MEDDPICC, Challenger); industry certifications are a plus.
  • Understanding of Open Source and transformation topics, such as cloud-native app development and cloud migration.
