An exciting opportunity has arisen for a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Network Engineer (Japan or Korean Speaker) to join a highly respected Consulting team based in Kuala Lumpur. The successful candidate will play a pivotal part in ensuring the reliability and resilience of enterprise networks, working closely with regional stakeholders and partners across Asia‑Pacific. If you possess advanced technical expertise in SD‑WAN technologies, routing, and switching protocols and are fluent in Japanese or Korean, this position will offer you the following :

What you’ll do :

  • Design, configure, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure including SD‑WAN solutions, firewalls, VPNs, and monitoring systems.
  • Implement and manage advanced routing and switching protocols such as OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, and MPLS to optimise network reliability across multiple sites.
  • Conduct ongoing monitoring and assessment of network performance, proactively identifying areas for improvement and taking measures to mitigate potential risks.
  • Collaborate with internal technology teams and regional business units to align network security practices with organisational goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Facilitate effective communication with stakeholders, leveraging proficiency in Japanese or Korean for technical collaboration.
  • Support the integration of new technologies into existing network environments while ensuring compliance with best practices.
  • Participate in troubleshooting complex network issues, providing expert guidance to resolve incidents efficiently.
  • Document network configurations, changes, and procedures clearly to maintain transparency and facilitate future upgrades.
  • Assist in planning for future capacity needs by analysing current usage trends and forecasting growth requirements.
  • Engage in regular reviews of security policies to ensure the highest standards of protection are maintained throughout the organisation.
  • What you bring :

  • Bachelor‑degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline.
  • At least five years’ experience as a network engineer or within network security roles, ideally supporting multinational or enterprise environments.
  • Proven expertise in SD‑WAN technologies such as Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Versa or Viptela.
  • Comprehensive understanding of routing and switching protocols including BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and MPLS.
  • Demonstrated proficiency managing firewalls, VPNs, IDS / IPS systems and other essential network security appliances.
  • Relevant professional certifications (CCNP, CCIE, NSE or PCNSE) are highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with cloud networking frameworks (AWS, Azure or GCP) and understanding of Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) architectures would be beneficial.
