Crowdo Malaysia is a registered Recognized Market Operator (RMO) licensed by the Securities Commission Malaysia to operate an Equity Crowdfunding (ECF) platform. As part of our continued growth and commitment to good governance, we are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Compliance Officer to join our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure full compliance with the Securities Commission's Guidelines on Recognized Markets, Capital Markets and Services Act 2007 (CMSA), Anti-Money Laundering / Counter Financing of Terrorism laws, and other relevant regulations.
- Oversee and enforce the company's internal compliance framework, policies, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Liaise directly with the Securities Commission Malaysia and other relevant authorities on regulatory filings, submissions, audits, or inquiries.
- Monitor and update the management team on changes in the regulatory landscape that impact the business.
- Provide internal training and awareness programs to ensure all staff understand their compliance obligations.
- Lead internal reviews and risk assessments related to compliance and governance.
- Investigate and report compliance breaches and recommend remediation or disciplinary actions when required.
Perform tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the reporting manager to support team and business objectives.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration or related field.Minimum 3 years' experience in compliance, legal, risk or audit in capital markets, financial services, or fintech sectors.Strong knowledge of Malaysian capital markets regulations, especially the SC's Guidelines on Recognized Markets and AML / CFT requirements.Proven ability to develop and enforce policies and procedures in a regulated environment.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to work with internal teams and regulators.Ability to work independently, with a high degree of integrity and attention to detail.Nice to Have
Experience working in or with RMOs, capital market intermediaries, or SC-regulated entities.Familiarity with digital platforms, equity crowdfunding operations, or fintech business models.Certifications such as CAMS, ICA, or regulatory compliance credentials are a plus.Crowdo is unable to sponsor work permits or provide relocation support for any position.
