Project Engineer

A Project Engineer in the construction industry oversees project planning, coordination, and execution to ensure work is completed on time, within budget, and according to specifications. They provide technical support, manage documentation, assist with scheduling and procurement, and ensure quality and safety standards are met.

JOB SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

• Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.
• Review and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications.
• Assist in project planning, scheduling, and progress tracking.
• Monitor project costs and assist in budget management and procurement.
• Prepare, track, and manage project documentation (RFIs, submittals, change orders, reports)
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality control, and regulatory requirements.
• Support problem-solving and resolve on-site technical issues.
• Conduct site inspections to monitor work progress and quality.
