Job descriptionBachelor’s degree or equivalent in Finance / Accountancy / Forensic Accounting Preferably 4 to 5 years of related experience in financial fraud investigation and litigation support Experience in preparing expert reports and / or working with legal counsel in dispute resolution is highly desirable Preferably Assistant Manager specializing in Auditing / Fraud & Forensic Accounting or equivalent Good communication skills in English (spoken and written) Strong analytical and investigative skills with the ability to interpret complex financial information Familiarity with accounting standards (e.g., MRFS / IFRS) and regulatory requirements (e.g., Companies Act) Good report-writing skills with the ability to present findings clearly, concisely, and persuasively
Overview
The Manager / Assistant Manager is responsible for leading and managing forensic accounting and litigation support assignments to ensure timely, accurate, and high-quality deliverables. The role includes supervising and mentoring junior team members to foster their development and maintain professional standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team to carry out forensic and litigation support assignments, including planning work timelines, setting deadlines, and ensuring deliverables are completed accurately and on time.
- Conduct investigations, financial analysis, and assessments related to fraud, misappropriation, shareholder disputes, damage assessments and other complex financial issues.
- Prepare comprehensive investigation reports and expert reports for use in litigation proceedings.
- Liaise with clients, legal counsels, and other stakeholders to gather evidence, clarify issues, and present findings effectively.
Qualifications
Candidates must be resident in Malaysia, or have the right to work in Malaysia.
