We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as a Buyer. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing and evaluating attractive lines of product to meet market demand, working closely with vendors on contract and promotion negotiation, and coordinating with internal departments on inventory management, planning, and forecasting.
- Sourcing and evaluating attractive lines of product to meet market demand.
- Work closely with vendor on contract & promotion negotiation to secure the best competitive deals.
- Co-ordinate with internal department on inventory management, planning and forecasting.
- Communicate and work closely with line managers during planning and purchasing processes with potential supplier.
- Identify growth opportunity and risk in assortment and develop contingency plan.
- Creates and maintains professional relationships with vendors.
- Meets established goals for sales, margin, income and inventory levels.
- Ensure that pricing, promotional strategies, and marketing of the goods support the objectives of the merchandise division.
- Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
- Ability to work in a very fast paced environment while maintaining a professional disposition and demeanor at all times.
Requirements :
Minimum Diploma or equivalent qualification in Business Studies or any related discipline.Preferably 1-2 years of working experience in the related field.Experience in retail pharmacies, rehab supply stores is an advantage.Must have knowledge on rehab, rehab related products.Having buying experience, general skills and knowledge.Analytical skills, strong commercial acumen and problem solving skills.Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.High level of integrity / probity, numeracy & IT Skills and interpersonal skills.Proficient in MS Office and strong in MS Excel.Good time management and work well under pressure.Preferably candidate from retail / FMCG industry.Must be able to travel / relocate to Bukit Raja 2 Klang.We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all qualified candidates.
