We are a Melbourne-headquartered fintech that recently closed a A$14 million Series A . Our team is scaling two new B2B offerings—a crypto-custody platform and an OTC trading portal while expanding our consumer crypto swap and payment app CobwebPay (CWP)
This position reports directly to the CTO based in Melbourne. You will collaborate on a daily basis with the GM Product, Compliance team, and UX / UI designers in Melbourne, while also working closely with the engineering team in China to drive product execution
The Opportunity
CobwebPay is evolving — we’re expanding product capabilities, upgrading wallet infrastructure, and improving user experience across critical product flows.
As our first product hire in Asia, you’ll take ownership of roadmap execution, documentation, and release coordination, working closely with engineering teams in China and the Product & Operations teams in Australia.
This role is office-based in Kuala Lumpur, giving you direct collaboration with local colleagues while engaging daily with cross-border teams. You’ll be part of a high-growth fintech environment where you’ll help shape the future of our mobile app and payment innovation across the Asia-Pacific region.
Job Responsibilities :
Collaborate with operations, compliance, and product leads to translate business objectives into actionable feature and release plans.
Maintain and continuously update the product roadmap, balancing technical feasibility with business priorities.
Own and manage the PRD : draft, version, and update product specifications in both Mandarin and English for engineering teams.
Coordinate UX / UI reviews with Melbourne-based designers and ensure smooth design-to-development handover.
Lead go-to-market activities, QA processes, and post-launch follow-ups to ensure feature success.
Manage production incidents by triaging with engineering, documenting actions, and ensuring timely resolution.
Oversee and refine the Jira product backlog, ensuring technical tasks and user-driven requests are properly tracked and prioritised.
Organise stand-ups, backlog refinement sessions, and act as the primary liaison between stakeholders and development teams.
Review product analytics and KPIs to guide roadmap prioritisation and continuous improvement.
Mentor and support a bilingual junior product manager, providing day-to-day guidance and feedback.
